Cytomic Announces AAX DSP Support for ProTools HDX

To coincide with the release of Avid ProTools HDX, Cytomic announces support for the AAX plugin format, and in particular hardware acceleration on the new floating point capable DSP chips with ultra low latencies.

There has been lots of interest in Cytomic's second product and we are proud to announce it will be an analog modelled resonant filter plugin. It is still in construction but we'll post audio demos and news until the final release which is planned for December 2011 (possibly before if we can manage).

Welcome to the new Cytomic web page. It's not very fancy at the moment and will undergo a facelift when time permits, but for now the important parts work: the web shop that accepts all major credit and debit cards, and the download section for your new purchase or updates.

Analog modeled buss compressor.

The Glue is a high quality analog modeled plug-in based on The classic 80's British big console buss compressor with some additional features. It uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulation packages but optimised for real time use. It's quick and easy to use and has an uncluttered interface.

Additions over the original circuit include an ultra-fast attack time of up to 0.01mS and a Range knob which backs off the compression to give incredibly natural sounding attacks and limits the maximum amount of compression applied. Also included are external sidechain support and an adjustable sidechain highpass filter.
